Physical Education Associate in Arts Degree

 

Curriculum leads to the Physical Education Associate in Arts Degree. Specifically, it is designed for student who will transfer to a four-year institution, obtaining a bachelor’s degree through a California State University program. Course and degree requirements vary at respective universities. It is important to consult with a Fullerton College Counselor and a respective university transfer representatives to confer program requirements and transferable work. The Program requires a total of 18-20 units of which 16-17 units are in required courses. An additional 2-3 units must be chosen from the restricted units listed below.

 

Program Level Student Learning Outcomes

Outcome 1:

Upon successful completion of courses leading to Physical Education Associate in Arts Degree the student will be able to identify concepts and theories of sport exercise psychology that can be applied, in coaching and teaching. 

Outcome 2:

Upon successful completion of courses leading to Physical Education Associate in Arts Degree the student will be able to identify and apply four related fields of Physical Education: Fitness/Wellness, Teaching/Coaching, Sport Careers, Sport/Exercise. 

Outcome 3:

Upon successful completion of courses leading to Physical Education Associate in Arts Degree the student will be able to identify athletic injuries and demonstrate a physical remedy for each.
